House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 4 Review: The Dragons Take Center Stage

House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 4 was another enjoyable chapter in what continues to be a very strong season.

I liked this episode quite a bit. It had several good moments throughout, especially for Team Green, and it continued moving the larger conflict forward as we head into the second half of the season.

This review will remain mostly spoiler-free, but there were some nice intense dragon moments tonight. Those scenes were easily among the highlights of the episode for me and served as another reminder of how dangerous and unpredictable this war is becoming.

Team Green Had Some Strong Moments

Team Green had several moments that stood out during Episode 4.

One of the things House of the Dragon continues to do well is show how complicated every side of this conflict truly is. The characters are driven by power, fear, loyalty, family, and the weight of the Iron Throne, and Episode 4 continued exploring those different motivations.

There are still characters whose decisions frustrate me, but that is also part of what makes the story so interesting. Nobody is moving through this war untouched, and every decision seems capable of creating even more damage.

Intense Dragon Moments

Without giving anything away, the dragon material was intense.

Whenever the dragons take center stage, House of the Dragon immediately feels larger, more dangerous, and more cinematic. Episode 4 delivers some memorable moments that remind us these creatures are not simply weapons that can be easily controlled.

They are powerful, emotional, and terrifying forces within the story.

The dragon scenes gave this episode some of its strongest energy and left me eager to see how the show continues raising the stakes over the remaining episodes.

Looking Ahead to Episode 5

Episode 4 also introduces and sets up several interesting possibilities for what is coming next.

There are cool new things on the horizon, and the season feels like it is beginning to move toward an even larger stage. With Episode 5 arriving next week, I am excited to see how the different storylines continue developing and what consequences will come from everything that happened tonight.

We are now halfway through Season 3, and the show has delivered four enjoyable episodes in a row.

Final Thoughts

House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 4 was another good episode.

I enjoyed the Team Green material, the intense dragon moments, and the different threads being set up for the next chapter. It may not have been my favorite episode of the season, but it continued the strong momentum and made me even more interested in what lies ahead.

I am looking forward to House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 5 and seeing where the second half of the season takes us.
