One of my favorite times of the gaming calendar is almost here again.

gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 takes place on Tuesday, August 25, and I’ll once again be going live on my YouTube channel with a special co-stream presentation as we watch the show together.

Opening Night Live begins at 2:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM PT / 7:00 PM BST / 8:00 PM CEST and will be hosted by Geoff Keighley live from Cologne, Germany.

Opening Night Live has become one of those broadcasts where almost anything can show up.

New games.

Unexpected trailers.

Updates we've been waiting months, sometimes years, to see.

And those wonderful moments where a logo appears on screen and suddenly everyone in chat realizes what they're looking at.

That unpredictability is a huge part of the fun.

Throughout my co-stream, I’ll be reacting live, talking with everyone in chat, discussing the announcements as they happen, and eventually giving my thoughts on the biggest reveals from the presentation.

PlayStation State of Play Returns September 24: What to Expect

PlayStation has officially confirmed that a brand-new State of Play is happening Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 11 PM CEST (September 25 at 6 AM JST) via their PlayStation blog and official PlayStation channels. The State Of Play will run for more than 35 minutes and feature updates from PlayStation Studios, along with third-party and indie titles from developers around the world. One of the highlights already teased is an extended look at Housemarque’s upcoming game Saros , set to release next year.
