Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival has been on my radar, but after experiencing the PC demo, I can comfortably say that my interest in the game has grown considerably. I absolutely loved this demo. One of the biggest things that stood out to me was how it seemed to pull together elements that reminded me of several of my favorite games from the last decade. There were moments where I felt shades of Resident Evil and Outlast , particularly through the atmosphere, tension, exploration, and horror. And strangely enough, I even got a little bit of Far Cry from certain aspects of the experience. Obviously, Far Cry isn't a horror franchise, but something about the movement, environments, gameplay flow, and overall feel reminded me of it at times. Blending those kinds of elements together with a much darker horror experience made the demo feel familiar without simply feeling like a copy of something else. Today, I wanted to share an important update regarding UNDER SHADOWS and its upcoming release. UNDER SHADOWS was originally scheduled to release on September 25, 2026 . After taking some time to reconsider the timing and everything surrounding the project, I have made the decision to officially delay its release. UNDER SHADOWS will now release in Fall 2027. This was not a decision I made lightly. September 25 had been part of my plans for UNDER SHADOWS for quite some time, and I had been looking forward to finally sharing the project this fall. Unfortunately, circumstances throughout the year changed considerably, and ultimately I decided that moving the release rather than trying to force it into its original window was the right decision. I know that Fall 2027 represents a significant delay, especially compared with the original September 2026 release. Four episodes into LANTERNS , and I'm continuing to really enjoy this series. Episode 4 is another very good chapter that keeps the story moving while giving us more of the characters, relationships, and larger mystery that have kept me interested throughout the season. Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre continue to be fantastic as Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Their performances remain one of the strongest parts of the show for me, and I've really enjoyed watching their dynamic grow throughout these first four episodes. The pacing continues to work well, too. The series is taking its time with certain pieces of the mystery without making things feel stagnant, and there is still plenty here that has me wondering exactly where everything is ultimately heading. We're now officially halfway through Season 1, and I'm happy with where things stand. Episode 1 gave us a strong beginning, Episodes 2 and 3 continued building on that foundation, and Episode 4 keeps the momentum going....

PlayStation’s September 2026 State of Play and State of Play Japan double feature is officially in the books, and after spending several hours watching, reacting, and talking about everything that was shown, I can safely say that I had a really good time with this one. Was everything I predicted there? Definitely not. Were there a few announcements I really wish we had gotten? Absolutely. But that’s part of the fun of these showcases. You go into them with a giant list of possibilities, hopes, and wild predictions, and then you get to see what PlayStation actually has waiting behind the curtain. And overall, I thought this was a fun show.

Metro returned during today’s PlayStation State of Play with one of its biggest updates yet. 4A Games officially announced that Metro 2039 will launch February 4, 2027 , while also debuting the game’s first console gameplay captured on PS5 Pro. The footage follows the game’s new protagonist, The Stranger , after emerging from the Metro tunnels and entering the ruined surface of Moscow. The Stranger is a former Spartan with a dark history and a much more brutal approach than some of the series’ previous heroes. Metro 2039 remains a single-player, story-driven first-person shooter, blending the exploration, survival, stealth and combat that have long defined the franchise. The State of Play gameplay showed players managing radiation and survival equipment while choosing how to approach dangerous encounters with firearms, stealth and other tools. 4A Games also confirmed that its proprietary 4A Engine is once again powering the experience. Square Enix officially closed today’s PlayStation State of Play with a massive look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation — and now we know when the trilogy ends. Final Fantasy VII Revelation launches April 8, 2027 for PlayStation 5. Revelation serves as the third and final chapter of the remake trilogy that began with Final Fantasy VII Remake and continued with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Today’s extended gameplay presentation showed just how much larger the final adventure is becoming. The iconic Highwind airship will play a major role in exploration, allowing the party to travel across an enormous open world from the skies. Chocobos return as well, including Piko, who can grow stronger alongside the party and assist in both traversal and combat. Combat is also evolving. PlayStation’s massive September 3, 2026 State of Play double feature has officially wrapped. After a few days of anticipation, predictions, and speculation, PlayStation delivered both its traditional State of Play and State of Play Japan presentations back-to-back, showcasing more than 30 games across the two broadcasts. There were new game reveals, release dates, gameplay demonstrations, expansions, PlayStation Plus additions, accessories, and some genuinely major announcements.
